Our Model
Highlands Latin Cottage School Dallas–Fort Worth offers a classical hybrid model designed to support families who desire a rigorous, traditional education combined with the flexibility of at-home learning. Our model allows parents to take an active role in their child’s education while receiving the structure, expertise, and community of a full academic program.
Students attend on-campus classes three days per week where they receive direct instruction from HLS-trained teachers using the Memoria Press Classical Core Curriculum. On the remaining days, students complete guided lessons at home under the supervision of a parent.
This partnership between home and school reinforces mastery, strengthens family connection, and maintains the integrity of a classical education.
How the Hybrid Model Works

Our Community
Family Volunteer Commitment
At Highlands Latin Cottage School Dallas–Fort Worth, we believe a strong and joyful school community is built when families work together. To support our mission, each family is asked to contribute 25 volunteer hours per year. These hours play a vital role in creating meaningful community events, keeping our costs affordable, and supporting fundraising efforts that provide rich and memorable opportunities for our students.

We understand that some families experience seasons of life that are exceptionally busy. For those who are unable to fulfill the full volunteer requirement, a donation option to the PTO is available. While this option provides needed flexibility, we deeply value and appreciate the time and presence of our families who are able to participate. Your involvement enriches our classrooms, strengthens our culture, and helps create a warm and connected community for all.
