Our Mission
In partnership with parents, and guided by the Gospel, Highlands Latin Schools seeks to educate students to the highest standards of the classical tradition, so that they may grow in knowledge, wisdom, and the love of Our Lord, and more ably use their gifts in the service of others, and for the glory of Christ and his Church.
Highlands Latin Cottage School
We are a private hybrid school where students attend classes on campus three days a week and complete their lessons at home under a parent’s guidance on the remaining two days. Our teachers provide clear pacing and guided instruction plans for those at-home learning days, ensuring continuity, structure, and mastery. Our mission is to partner with parents to create a community that faithfully trains children in the way they should go, so they may walk in wisdom and steadfast character as they grow older.
Classical education teaches students how to learn, how to think with wisdom, and how to act with virtue. These qualities are cultivated through the study of Latin, engagement with classical texts, and the disciplined pursuit of the liberal arts. At Highlands Latin Cottage School Dallas–Fort Worth, our Christian foundation is rooted firmly in the inerrant and authoritative Word of God, acknowledging His sovereignty over all time and His revelation to us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We Believe

We believe the Christian faith is true, rooted in Scripture and affirmed by both reason and history. All time is dated from the birth of Jesus Christ, the central figure of human history, and our program is designed to help students understand the truth and significance of this reality.

When it comes to the Bible, our curriculum seeks to build genuine biblical literacy by teaching students the stories of Scripture and encouraging them to memorize God’s Word. Our school is ecumenical and does not teach from any specific denominational tradition beyond the foundational statement of faith reflected in the Apostles’ Creed. While we uphold this historic confession, we do not promote any single denominational perspective. We affirm that it is the parents’ duty and privilege to instruct their children in the particular teachings and practices of their own church tradition.

Highlands Latin School's foundational faith statement is the Apostles' Creed, the most ancient and widely accepted expression of the essential beliefs of the Christian faith. Highlands Latin teaches and upholds traditional Christian morality and the Holy Scriptures as the divinely inspired word of God.
Concerning marriage and family life, we believe that marriage is exclusively between one man and one woman as defined in the book of Genesis 2:18-24.
Concerning gender, we believe the God of Genesis created man and woman, that His creation of male and female is perfect and complete and full of beauty as he designed them. We further believe redefining gender in opposition to God’s original design is against the law of God and therefore we do not support this, and cannot, as Christians, entertain this behavior in our school. (Genesis 2)
